We are all moved into my (Kimberly’s) dad’s house!
The kids are sharing the toy room and Keith and I have a bedroom and we share a bathroom between the 4 of us– it is a pretty sweet little arrangement! Definitely better than being banished to a hotel room or something for 6 weeks!
I think we had the world’s shortest move- just a few miles and we didn’t even have enough stuff to fill the 10 foot uhaul. That includes the 3 beds we moved! That’s a good sign that we are downsizing as we need to be!
The girls are a little hyper from the move- so many new and exciting things. It is 9:30 and they’re both still wide awake and wanting to jump and play. I’m sure in a few days they’ll be more settled!
Keith just ran out for a celebratory frozen custard for the 2 of us. Yum! We’re even closer to Mimi’s- I think this is dangerous!
Here’s a couple pages I made yesterday– I spent some time scrapping/vegging after getting almost everything packed.

The second one was scrapped during a moment of motherly *blah*. I never know if I should share the honestly-journaled pages so openly- but you know what? I think we hide under these “ohh, life is blissful and sweet and my kids are delightful cherubs and we just smile all day long” fake clouds of saccharin. So let’s just be real for a second….

Have a great weekend! We’re heading out to talk with a special group tomorrow morning- my sister & dad’s group that they attend. Should be fun!

Beautiful pages, Kimberly — and your thoughts & feelings were expressed wonderfully . . . !

I really identify with your Libby layout. It made me cry. I love the layout’s artistry too.

Oh I just LOVE that second layout. Love the emotion, the honest journaling. Very touching and totally true!
Congrats on moving! I know the feeling of just watching the kids just staying awake because of the new surroundings….plus with grandma and grandpa around, of course the kids won’t want to go to sleep, lol!

Wonderful, meaningful pages.
And great job on downsizing. Hooray!

Kimberly, both your layouts brought tears to my eyes. Precious. I feel the same way about my dh and yet you expressed it in such a great way. Hugs!!

Beautiful pages Kimberly! I love the title of the one with your husband, the weight of the world, it almost made me want to cry, we are in that same ’situation’, one income! Thanks for sharing from your heart!

Oh my, that is beautiful! Seriously, just beautiful! I hope that my journaling is a smidget as wonderful as yours.

That 2nd LO is really touching. I feel that way so often and I’m afraid I will forget by the time the kids get old enough to ask me about how we felt about disciplining them. I’ve asked my mom about how she handled my siblings and I and all she says is that we were all good kids (yeah right LOL). This LO will be a treasure =) Thanks for sharing with us.

Thank you for deciding to share that page! It is EXACTLY how I feel with my kids, and probably how any other mother feels too! It is so good to see someone else has the same thoughts. We as mothers love our children to bits, but oh my, we certainly have our moments, don’t we?!

I for one like when you share *true* pages. You have wonderful journaling that truly expresses what is real…life isn’t always perfect but that is how Dad made us and loves us.

WOW!!! Only part of a U-Haul! Congrats on that! I’m thinking of you these final days and of your extended family as I know this will be difficult for them! You get to head out on an adventure—they just miss you! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your pages! These are the ones that will be meaningful to those girls when they are raising their own girls someday! Thanks for sharing your life with us!

My mom-in-law just sent me your link, cuz she knows I love to scrapbook! I seem to make a lot of cards lately, instead of scrappin….maybe with all the magazines and stuff I feel inadequate! Cards are faster and harder to mess up! Anyway, love your pages! I should have read a little more…are they all digital? Very nice!
